InfraAI Global Summit: Athens and the Cost of Scale
The InfraAI Global Summit on the Athenian Riviera gathered leaders shaping AI infrastructure. Our takeaway: scale is now a capital-allocation problem, not just a technical one.
The InfraAI Global Summit, held March 30 – April 1, 2026, on the Athenian Riviera, convened global decision-makers focused on the physical and financial infrastructure of artificial intelligence. The dominant question was not whether AI infrastructure would be built, but who could finance and operate it at scale.
The cost of scale has three dimensions:
- Energy. Data-center clusters require power commitments that were once the domain of heavy industry.
- Capital. Large-scale buildouts demand patient, non-dilutive capital structures.
- Talent. The same engineers are being competed for by hyperscalers, utilities, and governments.
A holding-company model addresses all three. It pools capital across brands, shares specialized talent, and negotiates energy and procurement as a portfolio rather than as one-off projects.
KC-Kay attended the summit with this lens: we are not betting on a single winner in AI infrastructure. We are building a portfolio of operating companies that collectively own the critical inputs.
